Special note: The GED testing fee is $30 for each of the four sections of the test. The retake fee is $10 for each section, offered for up to two immediate retake attempts. Further retake attempts require a 60-day waiting period. To qualify for the GED test, applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old and have been withdrawn from school for at least 90 days
• Have a Kentucky mailing address
• Pass the GED Ready Test in whichever section(s) you are testing in

Once you have passed any of the four sections of the GED test, those passing scores will not expire. To earn your GED, you must eventually pass all four sections – Math, Social Studies, Science, and Reading/Language Arts.
